Every Noise At Once

Boing Boing linked to this really interesting music analysis site last week.  Basically, it uses some algorithm to catagorize lots of different bands.  So makes it easy to look at a genre you like and find other bands that make similar music.  I really like the visual presentation of the site.  It's like a cloud of musical genres.  If you click on a genre, it may play a small sample.  On my work computer it does, at home it does not.  But more importantly, if you click on the little arrow next to the genre (after you click on it once) it takes you to the sub-cloud of all the bands.  I've been exploring Brutal Death Metal this weekend.

I need to find this movie

This clip is from a film called Beware: Children at Play(1989) from Troma studios. The Bible Salesman Franklin Ludwig is great. I'm sure this is most of his scenes in the movie, but I could watch him all day. I looked him up on IMDB, well, clicked is name on the film page and found he was also in Psychos in Love. Psychos in Love is one of my favorite no budget indie horror films. I loved it so much, that long after I stopped buying tapes, I bought it on VHS from a closing out video store, just to say I have it. It's sitting on my bookshelf right now.

Things

Hey everyone!

Wow, it's been a long time since we posted anything here...a really long time. I talked with Sicarus, he's going to be debuting his new .. uhm, shall we say career.. on our Blog in the next few days ( I think, I'll poke and prod him some more. )

Simon has been busy with work, and probably forgot about his blog again. I'll throw some texts his way and he'll show up again.

Our webcomic artist has been overwhelmed with course work (the same course work as me, actually.) We will slowly be returning to our DedalusTech activities in roughly two weeks (since finals will be over by then). You'll get to see a lot more of us, and lots of exciting things are on the way (hooray!)

Some of the MarbleBlast.com users are probably aware of the big announcement on the way (if you remember Project X). We'll probably have an announcement post pinned on the forums sometime this weekend for everyone to look at. Oh and I did not forget about Marble Blast Fubar. I've actually recruited some help from a few fellow colleagues. We'll resume working on that sometime after Project X is released.

More stuff later. Just providing a quick update since our site has been lacking activity lately.

Rigged Game Show history

This is a fascinating bit of history.  It's the game show Twenty One, that the move Quiz Show was based on. I know its rigged, but I'm amazed at how tough the questions are.  Basically, people had to believe that your average person could answer those questions.  I did about 15%.  Maybe we really are becoming stupider as a people.

I hate game shows, but I could probably watch stuff like that all day.  Probably the black and white makes it look cooler. I got this from Mark Evanier's News From Me.
